This school district was located in the southwest section of town. The first building was located a short distance from
the second one built along the Paxton Road (South Road). The population in this district was small. Throughout most of the
1840s there was no Summer Term held at this school.
1852 - The second school was built about 1852.
1872 - The outside of the building was painted. During the Winter Term the
students from this district united with those of District #4.
1873 - The Autumn Term was united with that of District #4.
1874 - NO SCHOOL was held during the Spring Term.
1876 - For five years between 1876 and 1880 the children from this district
attended school at District #4 (South Part).
1881 - During 1881 and 1882 the school was officially closed due to
insufficient enrollment.
1884 - The interior of the school was renovated and plastered. Lack of
students continued to plague the district. The building was not used
and students went to District #4.
1885 - NO SCHOOL for the Spring and Winter Terms. The Autumn
Term was united with that of District #4.
1886 - The Spring and Autumn Terms were united with District #4. NO
SCHOOL was held for the Winter Term.
1887 - NO SCHOOL was held during the Winter Term.
1888 - Better sanitary arrangements were made at the school.
1889 - A new chimney is built and the interior is renovated. The school
seemed to have enough students to remain open and classes are held
regularly.

1910 - Long time teacher, Sadie I. Packard, after twenty-four years of
non-interrupted years of service becomes ill.
1912 - Sadie I. Packard returns to teach, but only stays for 12 weeks and
the school closed for the rest of the year.

1913 - SCHOOL CLOSED the entire year.
1922 - The school is officially closed. The building was sold to Walter B.
Starbard in 1927 and converted into a private residence.
