The first school house that was located in this district was built on a bridle road which ran between the roads
(Route 31 and Princeton Streets) leading into Princeton.
1841 - The School Committee report of March 1, 1841, referred to the
school as "little better than none."
1845 - In 1844/45 the schoolhouse was described as "conveniently &
comfortably constructed and in neat and good condition."
1860 - A new school was built for this district.
1881 - A new school house was build in the village of Quinapoxet along
Wachusett Street (Rt. 31). District No. 12 came in first place in
town-wide examinations. "…no blank showed less than 95%, spelled correctly,
and tem members of the school ranging from 10 to 13 years of age spelled every
word correctly through the entire term; spelling with two exceptions from eight to
nine hundred words each. We mention this as an incentive to other schools to strive
in the future for equal record."
1882 - The school house was enlarged by adding another room. A bell tower
was place on the roof. This was the only district school to have such a
bell. The cost was $1,200. It is interesting to note that the report
refers to the village as "WOODVILLE" and not Quinapoxet. The Wood family was the owner of the mill in this neighborhood.
1888 - The exterior of the building was painted.
1889 - The interior of the building was renovated.
1893 - New hardwood floors were put into the school. New single seats and
desks were installed in the Primary School. The outbuildings were
replaced.
1895 - In 1895 evening courses were held at Quinapoxet for the "benefit of
those whose early education had been neglected, or those who had a little or no
knowledge of the English language." Teachers were Elizabeth C. Harrington
and Josie Carey. School was held five days per week for two hours
each day. Storm windows were placed on the building.
1897 - Part of the roof was re-shingled and the heating system was put into
good repair.

1910 - In 1910 the Quinapoxet Mill closes and the schoolhouse goes from
being a two room school to a "one-room" school.
1924 - The school did not open for a new school year.
1931 - The building was vacant and set on fire on July 24, 1931.
